Experimentations and Possibilities: Overcoming Perfectionism and Embracing the Journey

I'm Adão, and lately, I've been diving into some personal updates, reflections on self-knowledge, and why I'm taking a brand new approach to how I share my content.

Breaking free from the perfectionism trap

It's been a while since my last update, and there's a specific reason for that: perfectionism. I've been working hard to minimize its effects, and the procrastination that usually follows it. Wanting things to be absolutely flawless often stops us from getting things done — which is exactly why I've decided to embrace a new, faster, more practical format for my projects.

A new format for growth

This platform is a space for me to train my communication skills and better structure my ideas. By shifting away from heavily polished, "perfect" content, I can share what I'm learning about personal development more frequently. My goal is to create an experience where we can exchange ideas, get feedback, and learn how to evolve efficiently, together.

The power of self-knowledge (and therapy)

During this time, I've been investing deeply in my own mental health and personal growth through therapy and coaching. One of the biggest takeaways has been truly understanding the importance of self-knowledge. It's easy to superficially say "I know myself" — it's an entirely different thing to genuinely internalize that and honestly evaluate who you really are. For anyone struggling with procrastination, anxiety, or simply feeling stuck, I highly recommend seeking out a professional. It makes a world of difference.

Focus, interest, and what we consume

I've also been thinking a lot about prioritization and focus lately. A great point I came across from Professor Leão: focus is directly tied to interest. If you don't have a genuine interest in what you're consuming or doing, it's incredibly difficult to maintain focus — though cognitive factors and external distractions are real too, and sometimes worth professional support of their own.

There's a saying: we are what we consume. That applies heavily to information. We need to be intentional about where we direct our focus and what we allow ourselves to internalize.

Let's share the journey

I don't have all the answers. I'm just an eterno aprendiz — a lifelong learner — experimenting with what works and what doesn't. My intention is simply to share my journey, my ideas, and my reflections with you.

Everyone faces difficulties, but I believe that by sharing our experiences and supporting one another, we can reach our best versions.

I invite you to join this community. Let's interact, experiment, and grow together — see you in the next update.
